As a pioneer within the internet and telecommunication sectors, Dominic launched his first ISP (Internet Service Provider) in 1996, Firstnet Services Ltd, creating the UK’s highest award-achieving, business- focused service provider. The ISP was subsequently sold to Pipex PLC in 2003. Shortly thereafter,Dominic acquired the only national wireless license for 3.5GHz – 4.2GHz from Tele2, establishing the very first “true” broadband services for both data and voice, across the nation, winning the Internet Innovator of The Year Award from The Global Broadband Alliance. Subsequently, Dominic purchased the assets of 186k, a broadband and colocation hosting provider, from Nation Grid Transco who had invested ~$500M building a national fiber optic network and 11 regional data centers.
